DETAILS: As you journey through the land, we trace our footsteps as a soul journey. We find the bird shrines of Crow, Kestrel, Buzzard and Magpie. Here, in honour and respect we reach out to the wisdom and inspiration of their unique spirit flight; carrying us on darkened wings of freedom to the ancestors, to healing, to wisdom and to prophecy. This is an intensive workshop that runs from Midnight to Sunset. We make both a physical and spiritual journey through the land, stopping at the bird shrines to understand further and more fully our soul connections that inspire us, hold us, bind us. Using shamanic journeying, meditation, ritual, creativity and profound silence. You will create a Clay Bowl, Oracle Pouch, a 10inch Red Deer Skin Drum and Plant Spirit Incense.

This workshop is non-residential but there is a campsite located within walking distance: Oldbury Hill Campsite

Workshop runs from Friday Midnight to Saturday sunset. With brakes for lunch, supper and refreshments between each shrine.

Crow - Midnight - 4am

Kestrel - 9am - 12noon

Buzzard - 2pm - 6pm

Magpie - 7.30pm - 10pm

As with all our soul journeys we start in the darkness of the North, the womb tomb, here we meet Crow. The Crow People are those who know the mysteries of the thin edge we walk between life and death. Here we also find the Bone Singers. Crow carries us on darkened wings of spirit flight, to the realm of the Ancestors. In a dark cave we will make our clay bowls, the belly of earth that holds ancestral stories.

We emerge from the dark womb tomb to the first crack of light of the dawning of our new journey in the East, here we meet Kestrel. The Kestrel People are those who know the mysteries of vision and inspiration, here we find the Seer Dream-Weavers, whose messages bring us clarity of vision. In an Pine wood we will make our oracle pouches, holding the symbolic patterns and fragments of Nature's whisper.

As we continue on the wing along ancestral roads, the noon day sun bakes earth and skin, here in the South, on the warm rising air currents, we meet circling Buzzard. The Buzzard People are those who know the mysteries of creativity, manifesting the Awen that flows through them, on the land, for the land, here we find the Spirit Dancers, carrying us on the rhythm of life to a place of deep connection. In open woodland we will make our Buzzard Calling Drum, whose beat moves our soul to the rhythm of land, ancestors and the gods of our hills.

Soon our journey is to come full circle, the sun sinks low upon the horizon as the magic of twilight takes hold in the West, here we meet Magpie. The Magpie People are those who know the mysteries of soul healing, the spirit essence of plant and its relationship to human soul, here we find the Soul-Healers, who bring about healing on many levels. In the presence of an ancient spring we will make our plant spirit incense and drift with courage and an warriors hearts to the healing of awakening to the flow of life, love and land.
