THE MOON TIDE SUN
In early September 2006,
at the time of a Full Moon, I attended Emma Restall Orr's (aka Bobcat)
Moon Tide Retreat. Four intensive days of silence, detox and poignant
moments of sharing. For me it was time I needed to find focus, in my
work as Druid Priest, in my work as Healer, in my work as Teacher. I
spent most to the time walking in the Wichford Forrest, being lead by
the call of Deer barking. I spent time in stone circle created upon a
mound of what remains of a Moot & Bailey Castle. I spent time
sitting in the meadows, beneath a Pine Tree, in the full glare of the
sun. It was here beneath the shade of this tree that I created this
piece of art work. Using Willow, Aspen and Honeysuckle to create the
frame and Organic Cotton and Earth Pigments to make the picture. It was
an expression of the vision and journey I made on the Moon Tide Retreat. © Rob
