JULY

  • Clan of Birds: A Soul Journey

DATE: POSTPONED UNTIL 2008

(Starts 11.30pm Saturday through to 9pm Sunday)

VENUE: To be confirmed

DETAILS: As you journey through the land, we trace our footsteps as a soul journey. We find the Bird shrines of Crow, Kestrel, Buzzard and Magpie. Here, in honour and respect we reach out to the wisdom and inspiration of their unique spirit flight; carrying us on darkened wings of freedom to the ancestors, to healing, to wisdom and to prophecy. This is an intensive workshop that runs from Midnight to Sunset. We make both a physical and spiritual journey through the land, stopping at the bird shrines to understand further and more fully our soul connections that inspire us, hold us, bind us. Using shamanic journeying, meditation, ritual, creativity and profound silence, this soul journey helps us find a deeper or renewed clarity of our soul presence and story upon our land; Carried on the wings of the Clan of Birds. You will create a small Red Deer Skin Drum, Clay Bowl, Oracle pouch and Plant Spirit Incense.

DATE: Wednesday 11th - Sunday 15th July

The Druid Camp is the biggest annual gathering of the Druid community in Britain.

Running over four days every July, the Camp was first held in the summer of 2000. Organized by Emma Restall Orr of The Druid Network and Mark Graham of The Charnwood Grove, the aim of The Druid Camp is to celebrate and develop the community of modern Druidry.

Everyone is welcome! There are Druids and those studying the tradition through many different Orders, teachers and strands of Druidry. There are people who follow other nature-based spiritualities and philosophies. There are those simply interested or curious who are seeking a community or gathering of like-minded souls.

The camp is held in beautiful surroundings in the Forest of Dean, on the south Welsh border. In a stretch of meadows, edged by streams, woodland and fields, its tranquility seeps through every moment of the Camp.

Rob will be offering The Druid of the Greenwood Workshop and Celtic Tree Oracle Readings and Tree Spirit Medicine Sessions throughout the camp. There will also be a Woodspirit stall.
