Re-kindling the Ancestral Fire

After Rob's journey to Namibia in 2009, where he encountered a tribe whose spirituality and life was deeply entwined with the Ancestors (read about the experience here) He presents a workshop where we too, here in Britain using our own shamanic heritage within the tradition of modern Pagan Druidry, we can bring the wisdom, memory and communion with the Ancestors into our lives. Set within a wonderful woodland grove and Lavvu (Northern European Reindeer herders tent) Rob will guide you through a magical and deeply profound night time journey to reach out to the wisdom of our ancestors, culminating in a ceremony to re-kindle the ancestral fire of our land.

You are met in the Car Park at 6.45pm where you will be lead to the woodland grove and the warm, heated Lavvu.

We will then begin with an Opening Ritual and Introduction to the evening workshop.

The workshop begins with a shamanic journey beneath an Ancient Yew Tree, after which we make a Yew Wood Ogham Journeying Stave.

We will then go on to make an Ancestral Oracle and quest for our own unique Ancestor Calling Song.

Taking a short brake, we then share a warming vegetarian bowl of soup, home baked crusty bread and steaming hot ancestral woodland tea.

Preparation then begins for the ceremony to Re-kindle the Ancestral Fires of our wild land. each person having time to spend alone with their own fire bowl, before coming together as we re-kindle the ancestral fire upon these hallowed chalk hills of the North Downs.

Booking is essential!

Suitable clothing and footwear required. We will be outdoors in a woodland at night.

You will need something like a cushion/rug to sit on.

Bring your own bowl, spoon and cup.

Bring a torch.

A Drum or Rattle if you have one.

Anything that will assist your journey throughout the night.
