  • Greenwood Wisdom

DATE: Commences 25th April 2010

VENUE/TIMES:  10am - 5pm

DETAILS: The main aim of this course is to develop a working and practical knowledge of the Ogham, as well as to strengthen a deeper, sacred relationship to the natural world, and the Erath herself. We will use the Celtic Tree Ogham, to explore the spiritual essence, magical properties, healing and physical uses of each of the trees we encounter. There will be 12 workshops throughout the year with work to be completed between them. Each workshop will involve working with trees in the woodlands of the North Downs and Greensand Ridge of Kent. Here you will learn how to use the Ogham for divination, healing, inspiration and insight. Also you will learn how to create incense, essences and potions - true plant spirit medicine of the British landscape. Some knowledge of shamanic journeying, meditation and a pagan spirituality would be advantageous, but not solely necessary.

The cost of the course includes a copy of the "Green Guide to Trees of Britain and Europe by B.Press", A workbook created by Rob, specifically for this course, Attendance to all 12 workshops and continue support during the year of your studies.

Because the course is a complete structured form of study its not possible the join once the course has started, however people may be admitted up to the second workshop. After then the course will be closed to new comers.

This is a study group for anyone interested in exploring a more earth-ancestor based, British tradition of shamanic practice. Suitable for those within the tradition of Druidry or paganism as well as complete beginners. Each of the workshops will be themed around the elements.   • Re-kindling the Ancestral Fire

DATE: Saturday 13th November 2010

DETAILS:  After Rob's journey to Namibia in 2009, where he encountered a tribe whose spirituality and life was deeply entwined with the Ancestors (read about the experience here) He presents a workshop where we too, here in Britain using our own shamanic heritage within the tradition of modern Pagan Druidry, we can bring the wisdom, memory and communion with the Ancestors into our lives. Set within a wonderful woodland grove and Lavvu (Northern European Reindeer herders tent) Rob will guide you through a magical and deeply profound night time journey to reach out to the wisdom of our ancestors, culminating in a ceremony to re-kindle the ancestral fire of our land.   • Expressions of Druidry - TDN Conference 2010Expressions of Druidry - The Druid Network Conference

    DATE: Saturday 20th November 2010

    VENUE/TIMES:  Billberry Hill Centre, Birmingham, 10am - 10pm

    DETAILS:  The Druid Network is pleased and excited to be hosting its first Conference.  Designed to be a public presentation of Druidry in its many and diverse forms, from eco-protest through academic study, experiential ritual, healing and celebration.

    There will be information and stalls and no doubt both impromptu and planned entertainments including magic from Mark Townsend and an 'Open Mic' session facilitated by Bryn.

    There will be a vegan / vegetarian caterer on site with lovely lunchtime foods and snacks. 

    Tickets and Accommodation:

    Entrance tickets and accommodation booking are now available!

    A standard ticket bought in advance costs £12.50 per person. Accompanied children between the age of 5 and 16 may enter at an administrative cost of £1. Concessions are available. Booking is preferable but paid entry on the door is also available.

    There is basic dormitory accommodation available at £12.50 per person (including for children). Accommodation can only be booked in advance.
